1. Westwärts schweift der Blick (Richard Wagner)

Music and Lyrics by Richard Wagner
Arranged by Christopher Busietta.

Christopher Busietta: Tenor.

GERMAN
Westwärts schweift der Blick;
ostwärts streicht das Schiff.
Frisch weht der Wind der Heimat zu:
mein irisch Kind, wo weilest du?
Sind's deiner Seufzer Wehen,
die mir die Segel blähen?
Wehe, wehe, du Wind! -
Weh, ach wehe, mein Kind! -
Irische Maid,du wilde, minnige Maid!

ENGLISH
Westwards wanders the gaze;
Eastwards strikes the ship.
Fresh blows the wind towards home:
my Irish child, where are you now?
Is it your wafting sighs
that swell my sails?
Blow, blow, you wind!
Woe, ah woe, my child!
Irish maid, you wild, adorable maid!

2. A Pirate Sea Shanty

Music and Lyrics by Christopher Busietta

Christopher Busietta: Vocals, Guitars, Bass Guitar, Drums
Geeta Abad: Violin.

"Hello my dear,
You’re so pretty I fear,
That I have to talk to you now.
Is it love? Is it lust?
I don’t care all I’m fussed,
Is to get closer to you somehow.

I am nought but a sailor,
In need of a tailor,
I’m ugly and shy to the bone.
But will you sit here and dance
While I sing you a song
And then can I follow you home?"

(CHOIR: So such is the life of the man that I am
All this singing and drinking of rum.
But this is what makes me so lively and fun,
SOLO: So such is the life of the man that I am
The life of the man that I am)

I know I seem frightening, I know I seem rough,
But please I got something to say.
So please my sweet girl, please don’t play my bluff.
Don’t turn and go running away

I‘ve been to the ports in the east and the west.
I’ve sailed every damn seven sea.
I’ve met scores of girls, but to me you’re the best.
There is none that’s so pretty as ye.

(CHOIR: I‘ve been to the ports in the east and the west.
I’ve sailed every damn seven sea.
I’ve met scores of girls, but to me you’re the best.
SOLO AND CHORUS: There is none that’s so pretty as ye.)

After all of that mess and of all I confessed,
You stood by my side and you smiled.
We walked hand in hand on the beach on the west
And professed all our love all the while.

I wouldn’t repeat all that happened that night.
To nobody that story I’d tell!
But after so many months of our new happy life,
We soon heard our own wedding bell

(CHOIR: So sweet is the life of the man that I am
All this singing and drinking of rum.
But this is what makes me so lively and fun,
SOLO: So sweet is the life of the man that I am
The life of the man that I am).

3. Dreams are made

Music and Lyrics by Christopher Busietta

Christopher Busietta: Vocals, Guitars, Bass Guitar, Piano, Keyboards, Drums

All the world is cold as it seems.
Totally devoid of meaning.
All we have are our own dreams
To hold onto while we’re struggling.
Everyone else around is disconnected from you.
To yourself you must be true

Or aimless you will float down.

When your dreams are falling down,
When you feel them float apart,
Reach out your body and your mind,
Pull them back they are your heart.

Don’t rely on what others say.
You are you and they are they.
They have a life different from you,
Different paths to what you do.

Down.
When your dreams are falling down,
When you feel them float apart,
Reach out your body and your mind,
Pull them back they are your heart.

For that is how dreams are made.

4. And I try (Christopher Busietta)

Music and Lyrics by Christopher Busietta

Christopher Busietta: Vocals, Guitars, Bass Guitar, Drums

You never told me about your feelings.
You never told me why you were sad.
Why do I never know the answers?
What am I doing that's so wrong?

I want to help you to take your mind off everything.

I’m trailing you down this slow and darkening road.
I know you're feeling lonely.
But what am I to do?
What would I do if I were you?

I want to help you to take your mind off everything.
I want to help you to take your mind off everything.
And I try.

5. The Leprechaun (Christopher Busietta)

Music and Lyrics by Christopher Busietta

Christopher Busietta: Vocals, Guitars, Bass Guitar, Flute, Percussion
Nick Busietta: Vocals, Guitar Solo.

Under the small bridge,
The river below,
He lives in his small house,
The leprechaun you know.
Huddled away in his tiny room,
He hides from the people
He steals from you know.

He hides all his gold in a pot at the 'bow.
The coloured contraption to hide all his stow.
He’s so very clever, you cannot bestow
your luck from him, Never, he's greedy you know

Some have chased him,
Some see him fast.
Others await him at the rainbow pass.
But no-one can catch him
And no-one can find
his secret goldmine
At the end of the 'bow.

CHORUS
(Humming)
Guitar Solo

Chance is that you will
Find his domain,
Under the small bridge,
He smiles away.
Don't turn around now.
His hands are too quick.
He's already jumped
Away from you.
Away from you... Away

6. Mirror Tree (Christopher Busietta)

Music and Lyrics by Christopher Busietta

Christopher Busietta: Vocals, Guitars, Bass Guitar, Keyboards, Flute, Drums.

Here I sit on this piece of earth,
Withering and dying,
Waiting for my body to decay I cry
While the insects scatter aimlessly in the dirt.
Helpless to help myself anymore,
Have sheltered everyone’s face,
All huddled around my base
As oblivious as before.

Oh the wind is sighing
As I stand here crying.
While underneath they creep
My life: I no longer keep.
Oh the tree is dying.

I've helped every animal that crawls,
The predators and the prey.
They fed on my bark and leaves
And breathed in the air I gave.
One thousand years ago I was born.
Along the floor my seed were drawn.
With a ring in my stomach I kiss the earth
And laugh as I leave this bitter world
CHORUS
SOLO
O the tree is dying.
O the tree is dying.
They cry aloud and weep,
My life I no longer keep.
Oh it’s too late... it’s too late.

Scatter all you worthless fools,
Since you won’t save this mighty oak,
But no longer can you shelter,
My last mirthless joke.
None seem to see me.
None seem to care,
But I promise that you will miss me
When all is grey and bare.

7. Call to War (Instrumental)

Music by Christopher Busietta

8. Death Row (Christopher Busietta)

Music and Lyrics by Christopher Busietta

Christopher Busietta: Vocals, Guitars, Bass Guitar, Drums
Geeta Abad: Violin
Mehmet Ali Yücel: Viola
Lou Paquin: Bassoon.

Living in the shadow of death
Is not living nearly a life
Upon a knife's edge I tread
Of health and depressed strife
Wearing a mask by day I sat
All is hidden during the light
By darkness in my room of black
At my bedside weeping the night

I can hear the piper call me
Yet it’s not my time.

Images, my former self inside
A shaded region of my mind.
I feel my old self within,
But the image is not kind
From the mirror's whim.

I can hear the piper call me
Yet its not my time.

All this time I've lived my life without any fear.
Yet all this time the hand of death was creeping ever near
And now it’s too late to have my time back
And do the things that my life did lack.
It's all too late and all I see
that I must use what time is left for me

I can hear the piper call me
And its not my time.
I can hear the piper call me.
Yet in a month's time when he speaks
Will be my time to die.

Una Furtiva Lagrima

Music by Gaetano Donizetti
Lyrics by Felice Romani

Arranged by Christopher Busietta

Christopher Busietta: Vocals, Guitar
Lou Paquin: Bassoon.

ITALIAN
Una furtiva lagrima negli occhi suoi spuntò:
Quelle festose giovani invidiar sembrò.

Che più cercando io vo?
Che più cercando io vo?

M'ama! Sì, m'ama, lo vedo. Lo vedo.

Un solo instante i palpiti
del suo bel cor sentir!
I miei sospir, confondere
per poco a' suoi sospir!
I palpiti, i palpiti sentir,
confondere i miei coi suoi sospir...

Cielo! Si può morir!
Di più non chiedo, non chiedo.
Ah, cielo! Si può! Si, può morir!
Di più non chiedo, non chiedo.
Si può morire! Si può morir d'amor.

ENGLISH
A single secret tear from her eye did spring:
as if she envied all the girls that laughingly passed.

What more searching need I do?
What more searching need I do?

She loves me! Yes, she loves me, I see it. I see it.

If I could feel, for just an instant, the beating
of her beautiful heart.
that my sighs were mingled
for a moment with hers!
If the beating of her heart I could feel,
and mingle my sighs with hers...

Heavens! Yes, I could die!
I could ask for nothing more, nothing more.
Oh, heavens! Yes, I could, I could die!
I could ask for nothing more, nothing more.
Yes, I could die! Yes, I could die of love.

12. Caro mio ben

Music by Tommaso Giordano

ITALIAN
Caro mio ben,
Credimi almen,
Senza di te languisce il cor.

Il tuo fedel
Sospira ognor.
Cessa, crudel,
Tanto rigor!

Caro mio ben,
Credimi almen,
Senza di te languisce il cor.

ENGLISH
My dear beloved,
believe me at least,
without you my heart languishes.

Your faithful one
always sighs;
cease, cruel one,
so much punishment!

My dear beloved,
believe me at least,
without you my heart languishes.
